Is Royal Canin pet food safe these days?
Apologies for repeating similar questions… I ‘m just really trying to educate myself in this area. Ken and Elaine… you’ve been most helpful. I was about to grab a bag of Royal Canin when I saw that there is in fact a pending lawsuit against them for a large number of animal deaths due, so it is said, to their food. Now, I know there was a mass pet food recall last year, but I hope RC is still safe. Any ideas?
I have been with Royal Canin food for my dog quite some time, a lot of the recalls are most of the cheap foods that you can find in walmart, brands such as alpo, bill jack, ect. Royal Canin has been really good at providing a good food for pets. I am still feeding my Chinese Crested Hairless there food and I have never had a problem. There label isn’t bad for the ingredients in there. Foods I would not trust (although hyped up) are Eukanubia. They have some ingredients that should not be in dog food, although they are widely sold and have a lot of hype given to them.
