Is this true? Did they really pass a “You can’t feed obese people at restaraunts” law?
My friend&I were talking in the car this morning, so we didn’t hear the radio.
Her mom did&said that they passed a law in Illinois, saying that restaurants have the right to refuse or cannot serve obese customers.
Am I the only one who thinks it’s complete bs?
Some people, although, it’s probably not a lot, can’t control that part of them. They’re obese by genetics.
Who is going to be the one to judge if they’re obese or not? Is there going to be a scale now everywhere?
My friend’s mom said that they passed the law in Illinois yesterday, though. I wonder if she misheard?
To whoever said the genetics thing – It’s usually probably rare for their obeseness to be purely genetic, but it IS possible.
Whoever that 1000+ lb guy was one of the victims of that.

NO, but a state Senator in Georgia (obese himself) submitted the bill as a joke to make a point. It was tossed out without discussion. Too bad though, it might have saved some lives! I get that it would be impossible for restaurant owners to be able to decide if a person is obese or just fat (or do they need the business), but at least it would maybe make some people take agood long look at themselves before they went out to eat! Obesity is more than just unattractive it is a health problem!
